smeople.com is a response to an opportunity.

My name is Rob Marr and I am a small business owner.  In 2008 I started to become aware of how much knowledge, support and opportunity was being held by SME owners all across Ireland and I wanted to do ’something’ for all of us on a national level that would help us link together in a meaningful way so we could get at this information and open channels of opportunity like never before.

Like most ideas, I had no actual idea of how I might do this!  As time went on I organised my idea into a 3 page outline and started talking to people about it.  I made some mistakes along the way including recruiting someone that could in no way help me!  Then I met Learning Pool.  Paul & Mary were interested and we decided to build this site and see what people thought.

What you are looking at is very much our first go but we want to know what you think, like, dislike and need from our community. With your help, this site can be something special.
